ERP Consultant (m/f/d) — Delivery Role

A delivery role, not a consulting-days role. You take defined work packages from first client contact to accepted deliverable — assessments, requirements, specifications, vendor qualification — at a fixed price, using our own methodology and an AI-supported delivery platform.

At a glance: Full time · permanent · remote (Germany), up to 80% · travel to DACH workshops · €72,000–82,000 fixed plus a results-based component (target package up to approx. €95,000)

About Dreher Consulting

Dreher Consulting is an independent ERP and IT management consultancy for mid-sized and larger companies in Europe, with a focus on Germany, Switzerland and Austria. For over 30 years and across more than 1,200 projects we have stood for one principle: organisation before IT. We do not sell consulting days, we sell results — assessments, tender-ready requirement specifications and defensible selection decisions at a fixed price, produced with our own methodology (SCOReX®) and a modern, AI-supported delivery platform.

Your impact

You own defined project work packages from the first client interaction through to the accepted deliverable — target-state assessments, requirements development, specifications, vendor qualification. You work with our tools and methods and make their output intelligible to the decision-makers on the client side. Your measure is not the time you spend, but the result you deliver and the client accepts.

Your responsibilities

  • Running assessments and requirements workshops independently — remote and on client site — using our SCOReX® method
  • Producing decision-ready documents (project charters, requirement specifications, evaluation papers) within defined time and budget
  • Structured use of AI-supported tools in research, analysis and document production — including critical quality assurance of what they produce
  • Guiding ERP selection processes: vendor qualification, system demonstrations, decision preparation, project support during implementation
  • Feeding project experience back into our methods (continuous improvement)

What you bring

  • Proven delivery: you can name at least two projects or work packages you personally took to an accepted result inside a fixed budget and timeframe — and explain how.
  • ERP experience: at least 5 years in ERP projects (selection, implementation or the business side) in mid-sized companies, with an understanding of business processes in distribution, manufacturing or professional services.
  • Tool fluency: you already work naturally with AI tools — LLM-supported analysis and document production, for example — and can articulate their limits.
  • Method discipline: a willingness to work with an established, defined methodology and improve it, rather than bring your own.
  • Communication: fluent German (C1 or above), confident with managing directors and IT leadership; English good enough for project work.
  • Working model: full time, predominantly remote (up to 80%), willing to travel to workshop dates across the DACH region. Resident in Germany.

Nice to have

  • Experience with fixed-price or contract-for-work projects on the supplier side
  • Sector knowledge in wholesale, medical technology, food production or professional services
  • Skills in process modelling and notation, and in requirements management
  • Experience with Google Workspace, HubSpot or PSA tools

What we offer

  • Work at the methodological front edge of independent ERP consulting: our own software, our own methods, an AI-native delivery platform
  • Up to 80% remote working, a modern tool landscape, and short decision paths directly with the owner
  • Results orientation instead of utilisation pressure: clear work packages, no selling of day rates
  • Compensation: fixed salary of €72,000 to €82,000 per year depending on experience and demonstrated delivery, plus a results-based component (target package up to approximately €95,000 per year)
  • Visible impact: your projects feed into references, publications and the development of the methodology

How to apply

Instead of a cover letter, send us half a page on this question: “Describe a project result you delivered inside a fixed budget — what was the result, what was the constraint, and what did you leave out in order to hold it?” Along with your CV.

Use the form alongside, or email us directly at karriere@dreher-consulting.com.

We welcome applications from everyone, regardless of gender, age, background, religion, disability or sexual identity. We do not ask about your current salary during the selection process.

Information on how we process your applicant data under Art. 13 GDPR is available in our privacy policy.
