Editorial guidelines for Insights at Dreher Consulting

Dreher Consulting publishes insights to help executives and project managers make better decisions regarding ERP, digital transformation, and sustainability. Because these topics can impact budgets, compliance, and operational risks, we see our content as decision support—not marketing copy. On this page, we explain how our insights are researched, reviewed, and maintained.

1) Our goal

We aim to publish content that is:

  • Correct – based on reliable sources and real project experience
  • Verifiable – where appropriate – via reliable sources
  • Practical – written for decisions and implementation, not as theory
  • Current – reviewed regularly, especially for regulatory topics
  • Independent – manufacturer-neutral and focused on measurable results

2) What we publish

Our Insights include:

  • Articles – explanations, frameworks, and guidance grounded in practice
  • Response formats – structured “how-to” pages designed for clarity and decision support
  • Downloads (reports/whitepapers) – primarily published as web content, with PDF as a supplement
  • Podcasts – accompanied by written summaries and key statements

When a topic involves regulation (e.g. CSRD/ESRS/EUDR) or particularly high-risk decisions (ERP selection, program governance), we apply stricter requirements to sources and review.

3) How we research and verify

Every Insight follows the same core approach:

Step 1 — Define key statements

Before writing, we define the core statements and distinguish which statements are:

  • factual (must be proven),
  • experience-based (must be identified as experience),
  • recommendations (must be explained and justified).

Step 2 — Use reliable sources

When we cite external sources, we prioritise:

  1. Primary authorities (EU regulations, standardization organizations, official guidelines)

  2. Manufacturer's documentation (if relevant)

  3. Peer-reviewed research (if applicable)

  4. Reputable industry research (recognised analyst and research organisations)

We avoid using low-quality sources and do not treat AI-generated statements as a source of truth.

Step 3 — Verify key statements

For statements that can significantly influence decisions – in particular:

  • Statistics and quantitative results

  • regulatory interpretations

  • Statements regarding product/manufacturer capabilities – we verify these against authoritative sources and triangulate as needed.

Step 4 — Draft for clarity and extractability

We write in a structure that helps readers and search engines to understand the answer correctly:

  • clear headings and definitions

  • step-by-step models

  • checklists and criteria

  • pitfalls and risks

  • practical examples

4) Our citation standard

We cite sources for:

  • statistics, quantitative statements, benchmarks
  • regulatory requirements and compliance interpretations
  • manufacturer functions or technical capabilities
  • comparisons that could influence a purchase or project decision

Where helpful, we include a “Sources” section so readers can verify key references quickly.

5) Experience and confidentiality

Dreher Consulting Insights are informed by decades of delivery experience.

To respect confidentiality:

  • We use anonymised examples unless explicit permission is granted.
  • We avoid details that could allow identification of a client or project.
  • When we present numbers, we provide context (baseline, timeframe, scope) to prevent misleading conclusions.

6) Use of AI tools

We can use AI tools to support editorial processes (e.g., outlines, linguistic revision, summaries), however:

  • AI will not be used as the sole source of factual statements.
  • Every factual statement, summary of regulations, or statistic is verified against primary sources.
  • We check for bias and discrimination in AI-generated content.
  • Our goal is to increase clarity and usefulness—not to generate content without validation.

7) Data Protection and Legal Notices

In accordance with the GDPR and the German Telemedia Act (TMG), we protect personal data. Our content does not contain any sensitive data without consent. The insights provided serve as general information and do not replace individual consultation. Dreher Consulting assumes no liability for decisions based on this content.

8) Review and maintenance

We maintain a “last reviewed” standard for high-impact content—especially:

  • regulatory topics (CSRD/ESRS/EUDR)
  • ERP selection and programme governance
  • major technology shifts (AI changes affecting business systems)

When requirements change, we update content instead of leaving outdated recommendations online.

8) Corrections

If we identify an error, we correct it promptly.

If you believe an Insight contains an inaccuracy or needs an update, please contact us and include the page URL and the relevant section.

9) Why this matters

Our work sits at the intersection of technology, operations, governance, and compliance.

That means content quality is not just a marketing concern—it’s part of responsible consulting.

These editorial standards are our way of ensuring our Insights remain:

  • trustworthy for decision-makers,
  • useful for teams delivering change,
  • and reliable as a reference source.
